- Open ebook.gabrielstrial.com/library in Safari.
- Tap the Share button — a square with an ↑ arrow (bottom of the screen).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The Gabriel's Trial icon appears on your home screen.
⚠️ On iPhone/iPad, only Safari can install it — Chrome won't show "Add to Home Screen."

- Open ebook.gabrielstrial.com/library in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (top-right corner).
- Tap Add to Home screen (on some phones this reads Install and create shortcut).
- When two choices appear, tap Install — not Create shortcut.
- Confirm Install. The app icon appears on your home screen.
✅ Pick Install (a real app). "Create shortcut" just re-opens Chrome — skip it.
- Open ebook.gabrielstrial.com/library in Chrome (or Edge).
- Click the ⋮ menu (top-right corner).
- Near the bottom, click Cast, save, and share.
- In that submenu, under Save, click Install page as app… (the screen-with-a-↓-arrow icon), then Install.
✅ Choose Install page as app — not "Create shortcut" just below it.
⚡ Faster shortcut: click the install icon (a screen with a ⤓ arrow) at the right end of the address bar, then Install.
Edge: ⋯ menu → Apps → Install this site as an app.
- Open ebook.gabrielstrial.com/library in Chrome (or Edge).
- Click the ⋮ menu → Cast, save, and share → Install… → Install.
- Or with Safari 17+ (macOS Sonoma or newer): menu bar → File → Add to Dock.
The app then lives in your Dock / Applications, in its own window.
Lost the icon later? Just open your access link again and re-install — your place is saved.
💡 If anything ever hangs or won't play
Three fixes, in order — the first one solves it almost every time:
- 1Swipe down to refresh the page (pull the page down and let go).
- 2Close the app fully and reopen it. Your spot is always saved — you'll pick up right where you were.
- 3Still stuck? Open your personal access link from your purchase email again — it signs you right back in.
Every refresh also picks up our latest improvements automatically — there's never an update to install.
📶 Listening on the go — signal & streaming
The audiobook streams like music (think Spotify or YouTube) — it needs a cell or Wi-Fi signal to load each chapter.
- Once a chapter has loaded, short dead zones won't interrupt it — and the next chapter quietly loads ahead of time while you listen.
- Deep in a no-signal area (a trail, a valley, a parking garage), a chapter may pause until you're back in range. It retries on its own — or swipe down to refresh once you have bars.
- Heading somewhere remote? Start the chapter while you still have signal and it will usually carry you through.
🔖 Your spot is always saved
The audiobook, the read-along, and the reader each remember exactly where you left off — chapter, minute, and your chosen playback speed. Close it, come back tomorrow, and press play.
🎧 Listening tips
- Full cast: every character in Gabriel's Trial has their own voice. The Read-Along uses the same recording.
- Speed: the speed button cycles 0.8× – 1.5×. Your choice is remembered.
- Car & lock screen: play/pause and skip work from your lock screen, headphones, and car controls.
- Sleep timer: set it to stop after a stretch of time — or at the end of the chapter.
🔊 Read-Along tips
- Each sentence lights up gold as it's read, and the page follows along.
- Tap any sentence to jump the audio right to it.
- Follow turns the auto-scroll on or off — turn it off to browse freely while you listen.
- Chapters flow into each other automatically — just listen.
